There is no Sound Forge 15. SF-14 is currently the latest version . If it is Pro 14, update to build 112 if possible or uninstall / reinstall after downloading the latest build.

It was a typo I meant 14. And it is build 112. I'll try an uninstall and reinstall again.

You may try a factory reset @Jimrin , (File menu), which also clears the cache. If you choose to uninstall/reinstall, a third-party uninstaller is usually recommended which can remove leftover register entries. folders and other pertinent data files the OS uninstall leaves behind, which can be the root of an issue..
Revo Uninstall is highly regarded and has both a free and a 'pro' version ($), Some folks like Geek Uninstall which is freeware.

One thing you have to watch for with Geek: it might offer to do a more thorough cleanup after the initial disinstallation is done. Make absolutely certain the remaining files aren't shared with other programs before you give the OK to eradicate them.

The same for Revo. This may occur when having more than one version of SF installed, or SF and Vegas. However this only happened to me once in the ten + years I've been using Revo and it only removed the DX 'Track' plug-ins, which I rarely use anyway, regardless, they reinstalled along with SF later.
In any case any SF/Vegas or other 'shared data' is easy to I.D. and Revo creates a new restore point prior to changing anything.

I've used Revo for a long time, the deep clean is item by item listed in expanding folders, you can select individual files, goups or all; it's wonderful, and can easily navigate any publisher's offerings and selectively delete only the files for that program. I stopped using it a.) MS is much better at removal now, and Ashampoo makes a nice small fast uninstaller, with tracing and options almost as good, and b) they went to renting the software instead of owning it.

IF i may, I DL'd sound forge from within music maker premium, it was listed as my download, but it wants me to activate it with a serial # which i have no idea where that might be acquired.

Any thoughts, thanks!

You ought to post this as a separate thread. As it is, you're hijacking the OP's thread.

@Former user

I agree!

@promytius1

I have hidden your main post. Please do as @Former user says and start a new thread with your question about SF. Incidentally, the version of SF available to download from within MM Premium is SF Audio Studio 12.6, which, as far as I can remember, didn't actually need an activation/serial key when first installed.

EDIT to correct previously wrong information: SFAS 12.6 DOES require an activation key, at least I have one listed in my Magix Account!

My apologies I thought I had posted the issue resolved itself with the second re-install
