Having slides and movie in same project

I would like to put slides and video in the same project with music.I have managed to do a project with slides and music but because the video is a different format (taken with a canon digital camera in movie mode) it will not allow me to add the video. What format is needed for video and how do I change the format if needed.I am using Movie edit pro 14 plus and a pc running windows 7.

Hi

You have already asked this question back in 2013 - see here.

Make sure Quicktime is upto date and that you drag the files to the timeline from within MEP.

Double clicking the files in Windows Explorer will only try to play them.

NOTE: file associations have nothing to do with MEP being able to import video or not - they are for determining which program opens the file you double click on.

Thanks very much again John.I am a few years older now and had forgotten the solution.I had actually also erased Quicktme from my pc. Once installed &  file associations checked I am now up and running and very happy.
