Help using an Arpeggiator plugin

Hi,

Can anyone please help? I just want to use an arpeggiator in Music Studio (MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio 25.0.0.32 DP3).

I have tried a few (BlueArp, Kirnu Cream) but no luck so far. The Pro version of Samplitude seems to have an extra setting in the plugin dropdown (VST MIDI Out) that isn't in Music Studio. I can't seem to set the MIDI in and MIDI out correctly (or the effects chain). I also tried MetaPluginSynth but not sure how to set that up either. Any help appreciated.

@Lonny-Meinecke You already correctly found out, this feature is only available in Samplitude Pro X.

What is your problem with MetaPlugin exactly? You need to add this as a VST and then add you arpeggiator and synth inside it and connect the MIDI input of the chain to the MIDI input of the arpeggiator and the MIDI output of the argpeggiator to the MIDI input of the synth and the audio output of the synth to the audio output of the plugin chain.

Thank you SP :) The instructions that came with MetaPlugin were not as helpful as I had hoped... how to connect the Midi input and output have been my dilemma (the flow diagram-like arrows/setup in MetaPlugin have been okay - it's like Visio). I appreciate your taking time for me. For now I think I can work around it. Thank you!

Metaplugin looks interesting.

By luck , does anyone know if there is a free alternative to Metaplugin ?

VSTHost is kind of free (it is donationware but you don't need to donate), but you need to run it as a separate program. This means you need a way to connect VSTHost and your DAW, for example over a virtual audio cable or a virtual MIDI cable.

You need to connect your MIDI input device to VSTHost and then use a virtual MIDI cable like LoopBe1 to send the output of VSTHost to your DAW input. For audio you would need something like https://vb-audio.com/Cable/
