Have you the exactly the same setting at presonus audiobox level, particularly for the input gain of your mic?

Is 48V disable?

You have good harwdare and normaly you would not have problem.

Hi and thank you

The levels are the same and the 48v is enabled.

(I am at the basic  level of music recording knowledge in Magix and studio1 but can find my way around  cool edit pro 2.1.)

I've noticed that when I use  CEP 2.1 to view a recording from a magix track, CEP shows a low level wave on the vocal track before I started to sing. This has to be removed afterwards by the cep hiss remover.

Hiss removal in Magix affects the track quality too much.

Is there a way of reducing the hiss in  magix before I start recording?

Regards

Ellie

Hi,

In the recording submenu, in section 1, 'audio driver' (translation from French, I have a french version) check the selected input of your soundcard you record. Is it the same in the other softwares you use?

Warning : MMM cannot record in mono mode even if you select mono in section 3 "advanced". It records in mono adding mic 1 + mic 2. Turn the gain of your second mic input to zero. In the previous section what inputs can you select?

Press the "Tab" button of your keyboard to switch the display of the tracks from "Mono" view to "stereo" view. You can see Right and left wave signal. Have you a zero right signal? Zoom in to check.

Try to plug your mic in the second input mic2 of your sound card. What result?
