Anyway can someone take me throught the proccess for burning my film to DVD. please I would be most gratefull.

Hi

It sounds like you are trying to burn a section of the timeline to DVD using the range function to select the movie section you want to burn.

This you cannot do - burning a DVD uses all the timeline. The range option can be used for exporting a section of the movie.

Save the project with a different name then remove the half you do not want, and place the required movie to the start of the timeline if it is not there already, then burn the DVD.

Hi Michael,

Further to John's reply, I think that you are also talking about chapter markers. If you have not placed any chapter marker on the timeline, when you click on Burn the first time it will give you the following screen.

This is for chapter markers. The options are clear; only one at the beginning, one for every object, or, options. You said that you selected Automatic markers. This means that MEP creates a chapter marker for every object - every photo, every video clip. Then these are used in the Burn part to set up the menus. You should read the manual about Burn and menus. You have a main button screen to start the video (on a video player) and that is all there is if there is only one chapter marker in the video, which is located at the beginning of the timeline. If there is more than one chapter, there will be a second or more screens with the list of chapters. You can give the chapters names, change the font, colour, image, etc. All this is done before going to Burn again.

Again read up on this in the manual so that you better understand how to do it all.

Hi

I understand what you are saying and thank you but how do you turn off themagix  templates being used in your film. there's instructions for using them but vey little information saying how you turn them off. The first one keeps copying to my film.
