How can I convert (save) a movie file in Movie Edit Pro 12 (.dip or .mvd) to a standard format (.avi, .flv. wmv, etc)??

I have put together a slide show consisting of a 13-1/2 minute interview, 45 still images, and a few titles.  In the export function I tried to export the file to my hard drive, but it had me put a chapter marker at the beginning, then it placed in a menu box, and finally asked me to insert a disc.  I really want to keep the video in it's original form if I can.  I went into Program files, then into MAGIX, then Movie Edit Pro 12, then My Audio/Video.  In that file my video had been saved as both a .dip file and a .mvd file.  I can't find a conversion program that recognizes either of these formats, so I'm assuming there is a way to save my video in a standard format somewhere in MEP12.  Please help if you can,  thanks!

A ---.MVD-file is a Project file, and is no Video file. It must be Exported to some or other format.

"A standard format" could be a DVD, by clicking Burn. The program needs a Chapter Marker in the beginning. If you dont want a menu, choose that.

If you prefer another format, then click File > Export movie, and you have many choices, f. i. mpeg, wmv, QuickTime. Hope you understand this.

Hi,

Try to export your movie (File menu, Export) select from the list the format you need and the size, the ratio, frame rate you need. A movie file is very different than a save faile. A Save file is a system file and you cannot play this kind a file. A movie file like AVI, WMV, MOV, can be play using a common player like Window Media.
