Hi

The Intros and Outros cannot e drooped into empty space on the timeline, they have to be dragged onto a video or image object before they apply,

Below is the timeline before adding an Intro (Airplane)

 

and after dragging intro onto object

 

Note how the video object (and all following objects) are moved and the Intro objects added.

The title object in this example is on track 5 - double click it to change.

Note of course that if you don't want any 'video' you can add an intro / outro to a plain black jpeg image - stretched out to whatever you want for playing time.
