"how do I copy and paste mp3 audio files from my hard drive into Music Maker"

tdzibike wrote on 1/30/2013, 12:09 PM

My goal is a simple one.

I want to 'copy & paste' three mp3 files from my hard drive into Music Maker and then delete certain portions of each mp3 file ending up with one contiguous mp3 file consisting of three songs.

I am using Widows7 but that should not have any impact on what I want to do. If it is easier for you, contact me directly at

just drag & drop mp3 files into your arranger...

-set off bpm adjustment if mp3 files have different bpm rate

I tried that before asking the question but it did not work and I do not know why.  I must be 'missing' something.

Maybe those songs are tagged, Music Maker has problems with jpg's of a certain size... sometimes it also helps if you copy files somewhere else (i.e. desktop) and try again...

Answer here so others can read too... and might have a better solution...

Good Luck !!!

The 'problem' is that when I go to 'paste' these files into the arranger there is no PASTE option when I right click on the arragner.  The only "input" option is IMPORT FROM CD.

that's why I told you to simply drag & drop the file you want into your arranger...

on the other hand... you can also use MMM's file manager to input songs from your hard drive...

Forget "copy & paste".  MMM is not set up for that.  Use the File Manager to "click & drag" in MMM as smartsmurf said - that's what it's there for.

What you want to do is easily done in MMM.  If you're not familiar with the software, spend the time to read the owner's manual.  It's time well spent, and it doesn't take all that long.
