Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

For playback of files within MEP you will need to buy the codec from the Microsoft app store.

If you need to export to HEVC then the codec is bought via Magix by trying to export as an HEVC H265 codec and following the instructions for purchase. Please remember if you at any point uninstall the program in the future, new codecs will have to be purchased again as the codecs are a separate licensing issue.
