How do i get rid of the clicking noise?

Hi, i recently got MMMMX Production Suite on my acer laptop that runs on Windows 7 and its been working fine,but i recently notice that when i press the play button it makes a clicking noise on every beat

e.g. CLICK-click-click-click, CLICK-click-click-click etc. even if there is no objects in the play area.

Does any one know how to get rid of it? I'd appreciate the help thanks xxx

P.S. the noise started after i downloaded some packages and had to reset and clean the soundpools, i don't really know if its related. xx

It's the obviously the metronome. Look it up in your owner's manual and turn it off.

Right in the middle of the music maker screen it shows the time/set the beats etc. About a quarter of an inch to the right of that is a small icon that is the metronome--just click it once to turn it on and off.
