How do I get the best playback on Music maker?

I just purchased Magix Music Maker 2013 and I have created a song. However, when I play all the tracks at the same time the playback is slow and pops a lot. It's better when I only play one or two tracks at the same time, but I need to be able to hear all of the tracks in order to properly edit my song. What kinds of things should I do (changing a certain setting maybe?) in order for the program to play back my song with the best quality and least lag?

I am using Windows 7.

So, how many tracks are we talking about.....10, 20 ?  In any case, you can always use the Mute feature and mute some of yur tracks  , play your song and if its OK, the problemm is in some other track/s...could be  more than one track.  You can always re-recored yur song, play it back after each track recorded and save it, rcord another "new" track, play back song and if its OK, keep on truckin' and eventually you will have found your problem track/s, or maybe not.  Your song willl sound great and you will never know what went wrong.....just hope it doesn't show up sometime later.  Good luck

Yes, you're using Window 7...but, on what?  It's sounds like you've easily exceeded the capabilities of your computer system.  You'll have to tell us more about your system.  Are all of your drivers up to date?

If your system is only slightly under-powered, increasing the playback buffer in the Program Settings should improve things.

Are you ASIO compatable Brett? If so try using that and tinkering with the settings until you find the balance. If not you could try downloading Asio4all (freebie) and experimenting.
