How do I get the monitor to show video I'm working on?

I have an earlier version of this and it works fine but I can't get the 'Movie Edit Pro' 2021 version's monitor to show the video I'm working on. I appreciate your help.

Hi Gary and welcome to the user to user forums.

Try un-ticking 'Use hardware acceleration for playback where possible' in the programs

import export settings and see if that works. You may also need to set playback to using 'Use video for Windows' in the playback section.
