How do I highlight or select an area for deleting?

I know this must be the most simple thing to do, but I can't seem to highlight the beginning of a piece of music so I can then either cut it or delete it. Usually with Adobe Audition I just hold the left mouse button down and drag it accross the piece to be deleted. That doesn't seen to work here. I get that finger sign instead of a pointer. I can delete the entire piece but not just a section. What gives? Thanks Greg

Hi,

Here is how to remove a section of audio from a track in Music Maker

Good Luck,

George

You can do essentially the same thing by simply pulling the lower left editing "handle" on the object to the right to the desired position.

Thank you both so much!

I was able to edit the bit from the beginning and the bit from the end. Now, if you don't mind showing me, How do I edit a piece in the middle of the arrangement? It looks like there is only one red line to move so how would I get a piece in the middle? Once Again, Thanks! Greg
