How do I position titles within the scenes?

Gordon_Lightfoot wrote on 9/24/2013, 1:42 PM

Using Magix Movie Edit Pro 2013 Premium. Making a DVD from imported video files. Putting a transition effect between the scenes. And I also put titles on each scene. But the problem is that all titles starts displaying when the scene start (during the transition effect). I would like the titles to appear maybe a second or a couple of seconds into each scene. Is it possible to do so? and is it possible to do so automaticly for all the scenes?

Thank you!

Hi,

Place title on specific track and a specific place on the timeline may be track 5, adjust title duration 5 to 8 seconds if you made a title and the title appears over the movie but if you need a title in a specific position in the scene you must cut using the rasor blade move the scene to the right to obtain enough room for the title and made a title on the same movie track. You can use a picture or a simple background plus text over.

Remenber title can be over the movie this a new track or title can be made in the movie on the same track but you need to split the scene.

Hi

i am assuming you are in Storyboard mode - you need to be in Timeline mode         to enable you to drag the title objects to the point in time you require with the mouse.

Thanks johnebaker and yvon-robert for your answers! I'm a total beginner in video editing, but your answers will be helpful. Have just got the software and need to learn a bit more to use the timeline mode. I'll be working more with my first video project this weekend.

Thanks again & take care!

Thank you YR for the help! As I have put transition effects between the scenes, I think it's best to put the titles over the movie. There are several types of titles, I was going to use the caption style (wich appear at the bottom of the movie). Then when I'm in timeline mode I can klick on a title object and move it forward on the timeline (so it will appear maybe a second or two into the scene)? I will be trying this out later. Thanks!
