I want to post music videos on YouTube and submit them for monitization.  How do I purchase a license to use the Visual objects found in MAGIX MMX?  Can theses visual objects be used for commercial product?

I went to the CATOOH site and inqired about purchasing a license and the search came up empty.

You are really going to need to read and understand the End User License Agreement for the product you purchased.  Go to magix.com scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "EULA" then select the product that you have.

Good Luck

Hello,

I just had another thought for you.  You could try writing to Magix Ag in Berlin telling them what it is you would like to do with the material created with the product that you have and ask them directly if this is a valid use of the material based on the End User License Agreement.  Then go on to say something like if it is not, how would I go about purchasing a license for this type of use.  If you are in the USA you should probably write or contact the US company.  I think the US company is located in Reno Nevada.

Sometimes the way license agreements are written you actually need to take it to a lawyer to find out if the use that you plan meets the conditions of the agreement.

Good Luck

Hi,

A third idea is why not just sign up for a account with www.stockphotosforfree.com  your user profile states that your music taste is contemporary Christian.  This site has many images that would suit that style of music.

and use their images if they have anything that appeals to you instead of worrying about this at all.  I use their images, and I also have an account (which is paid) at www.videoblocks.com but that is for use of stock video, audio, and sound effects.

Their license is pretty simple and easy to understand, and allows for pretty much any use of the material.  I often get the companies who claim that they own the copyright to something that I have produced and have a valid license for submit a claim for the material on YouTube, I simply contact them, tell them where they can see the valid license that I have for the material, and within a few days they withdraw their claim.

Good Luck
