Set and use chapter markers where you want each video to start and stop. You will only need two additional place markers to mark the beginning, middle, and end.
They are easier to see than the place markers. Then set the range markers to each place marker position for each individual export.
Not at my machine now but IIRC, you just make a cut at each of the the points you want to start the next export then do a File>batch export and you'll get the option to export all the objects on track 1 as separate files.
Say you have a project of maybe 14 tracks with edit points at different places including some straight cuts. Will that effect export results? I have not tried that way hence my question.
Well, you learn something new every day. I never played with batch processing.
Good one Alwyn!
You can put in Chapter markers, give each a name, press S and you'll get the batch processing screen:
Selecting chapters gives:
You can deselect any chapters that you don't want. You have to select the output format and settings as it didn't take my Project settings by default.
The other options, as Alwyn indicated are Movies, selectable, and objects on track 1 only, selectable. With this last one, I didn't see a way to give names to the export files.
Nope, no need to cut. I put the Chapter markers at random locations, some in the middle of a clip. Works fine.
I did have trouble with exporting individual objects as everything got the name of the project. I couldn't figure out the part to get the name of the object instead of the movie/project name. When they exported, I got ..._001, _002, etc. appended. Not something I would do anyways.
