How do I stop my recording from skipping?

I am using Magix Music Maker 15 Premium...and when I begin to record my track, it freezes for a few seconds, or sometimes longer and then I notice that when I playback what I've recorded at the skipped part, it recorded nothing or skips to the next part of the song. I dont understand this..I downloaded the asio4all sound card..but in the settings when I press and hold P, its for playback. I've defragged my system and I've also install more RAM into my computer...but the problem still persist...if anyone knows a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated..Thanks

you may not have enough memory try deleting programs that are taking up space or and try not to have anything else running at the same time. Mines does it too from time to time and i really think its a memory issue. You could add a memory stick to your cpu. Thats my idea on it anyways.
