Most laptops will have a microphone input right beside the headphone output per the diagram below.

Alon gwith other items with MIC such as, Installation CD, users manual, a microphone you should have a USB cable. You can connect Mic to computer via usb cable.

Some settings are needed then you can use mic for recording purpose.
