How do you record on music maker MX

Hi, i recently bought music maker MX and im trying to record by plugging my guitar in to my amp then using a lead from my amp to my computer and its failing to record.

any help would be appreciated.

i would record it in another program (for ex.: audacity) , export it as wav file, and load it back into music maker.

but i guess its also possible inside music maker. check your (general) record settings to make sure you 're recording from the correct input channel.

i'm just a noob myself, so it could be i'm using the wrong method myself.
just trying to help
