I try to find a replacemet DAW for my fantastic Voyetra Record Producer (discontinued :-( )

Musik Maker is a strong candidate. I installed the free version.

I tried to figure out if I can setup my hardware syntesizer  Kurzweil K2000 as receiver for MIDI-out and get the names of the K2000 intruments inside Musik Maker.

Could someone tell me if that is possible and how?

Is maybe another DAW in Magix family more suitable for my needs? "All" I need is a usable MIDI composer working with hardware syntesizers too. Samplitude??
