How to activate Vegas Movie Studio 16 on second device

I can't seem to use my second slot for my laptop. I see on my account that the second device slot is unused, but when I tried to activate it says the email/serial number is already registered. How do I take advantage of the 2nd device they say we can use? I can't launch the app without registering, they kick me out.

Oops, looks like I had mistyped the email. It was actually telling me that the serial was registered to a different email address.
