This can be done very simply and applies to the transparency for all objects.

In the timeline mode, locate the text object and highlight it by clicking once on it.

In the middle of the object will be a little diamond with a line running through it. Simply drag this down to make the object less visible. This is also the volume control for music.

I had discovered the diamond that adjusts transparency and volume level, but even with the diamond all the way at the top (at maximum level), the characters still aren't fully opaque. Some of the background color still shows through the title characters that are superimposed over a color photograph. Is there some other setting I can adjust?

I solved the problem myself. The several tracks in a project or added as layers on each other. With other applications that use layers, you can move a particular object closer to the foreground or background with a "move forward" or "send backward" or "bring to top" type of command. No such command exists in Magix.

But, the order of the tracks determines the layers. Track #1 is the lowest layer. Track #2 is higher than #1, etc. Tracks that are on a lower layer are made relatively transparent, even if the diamond is set to max. My titles were partly transparent until I copied them to a new track at a higher layer (higher number) than the photos I wanted to superimpose them on.
