how to cut blank end of video (black area)

i cut a long scene from end of project, leaving a black empty area with nothing on it, this made my 5 min video an extra 10 mins long, how do i cut that blank area....?

The double arrow icon at the bottom right should do the job. It resets the range markers to cover only the objects on your timeline. It is also handy to check that you don't have a orphan bit somewhere unnoticed -- eg an image or fragment on a track not in your current view.
