You might need a specialized software for that.

I am still confounded by the whole encryption process. Everything I find is for the decryption or how to circumvent the copyright protection of a DVD.

I do not see anything in the Movie Edit Pro for this, and it could be that it is extremely expensive (at least from what I have read).

Yes, if you check the internet such features are expensive, hence not included in MEP. Check this out just for the fun of it, nearly 2 Grand US/ year.
