How to get the focusrite interface level controls work

I can not get the recording level controls to work with sound forge pro 12 using the interface focusrite 2i2. What do I need to do?

I am not familiar with the Focusrite interface,. except to say, confirm the Focusrite interface is selected in "Options> Preferences> Audio" (device type recording tab)
In any case, there are no recording level parameters in Sound Forge to set. That is done with the soundcard or third-party interface parameters (and/or the audio source). Contact Focusrite support or peruse the Focusrite forum .
