How to make an bottom-corner ad with characters in MEP?

I'm using Movie Edit Pro 15+, and I'd like to make an bottom-corner "ad" in the similar style, as tv-networks use. FOX, CBS, etc; while you are watching your favourite show, they place an ad for another show in the bottom corner.

It sometimes has clip of actors moving, but I want to simply use a photo of a person, that appears and collides smoothly. Like it would be a cardboard-cutout that stands up, and then falls back down. :)

If there's a trick in key-animator or some other method to use in Magix Movie Edit Pro 15+, then I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus, which I feel would be better for this as it has a easy to use key frame section. I am sure this can be done in Movie Edit Pro 15, but it would be more time consuming, and I stopped using it because I have the newest Movie Edit Pro.

I think if I was to tackle that, I would make it a separate project in full size first. It would require some photo editing as I would do the cut out of the person or shape where everything but the subject is a chroma-key green color.

I have done this in Windows Paint, it's a simple edit by loading in the picture and then cutting around it using the brightest green color and any tool I felt was best, I used a water like marker.

Now that I have a cut out, I load it into a new project (all my for DVD/Blu-ray projects are 1360x768 16:9 ratio) I also use a background that I made in Windows Paint in the 1360x768 ratio with the same bright green color. The reason I do this is if anything hangs over the background will be the same chroma-key color so I can make it transparent using the chroma-key feature later.

From here, I will use the effect "3D Distortion" and "Key Frame" to resize and distort the image. This will allow me to make it appear flat, then raise up... with the right amount of time and effort you could make this really smooth and professional, but it would take a great deal of time to create in a real smooth manor. The MAGIX software is phenomenal for allowing you to do such things, but it really gives you an appreciation for the professionals that have been doing this all along.

Without showing each step, I think you can see the idea. Doing this in full screen then allows you to see and edit this easily. You can even then pull in text, have it move using the key frames as well. When you are done, satisfied with the movements, you export this as a video (I did mine in the .mxv or MAGIX video, which I think is like MPEG-2). I then started the project which I am going to use this as a small logo and set everything up. I will load in the logo video I created under the main video then use the effect "size/postion" to move and size the logo where I want it to appear, then I use the chroma-key feature with the green box. This makes all that green area transparent.

I am not sure this shows enough, but it can work, but I am not sure about Movie Edit Pro 15 having the 3D distortion effect. It took me more time to type this out then it did to create this small effect. I did not make it smooth or export it in a grand format, just wmv at the a standard ratio for that format as I was just wanting to show its capable of doing this type of feature.

I hope this inspires others to post similar ideas and solutions.

Hi,

The easiest way is to use a picture and picture to display on upper track in your movie. I just made in past a video showing this with an transparent backgroung this is in French but is easy to understand the principle also you can use animation with key frame but is difficult to master eberything in few minutes.
