How to move chapters over to another page to fit where other chapter markers are?

I'm trying to figure out a way to move some chapter buttons in the menu 'scene selection' sub-menu. It will only fit up to two chapters per page and i know it can fit more. I tryed making my own buttons but im not able to put the picture with the text. Instead it wants a 'graphic'.

I am using a windows 7, 64-bit with the program Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus.

Thanks allot!

Can you take a screen shot of what you are doing... I am not following along with what you are describing, but I use the Movie Edit Pro, so I think I can help.

shadow13524,

Can't say for MEP16 but for 14 & 17 the procedure seems to be to first select a default layout to get your background, font, borders & buttons, and then go to 'Composition' (MEP14+) or 'Order' (MEP17+) to choose the default chapter button arrangement and the maximum number of chapters per page.

In MEP14 the 'Composition' button is always available from [Complete] [Composition] [Controls] etc below the preview window. In MEP17+ you have to first be in 'Edit' mode from [Preview] [Edit] at the top left of the screen to see the [Order] button below.

I've not attempted button design as you need three images for each -- eg 'button.bmp', 'alpha_button.bmp' and 'alpha_hi_button.bmp' for the button and when it is highlighted (mouse hover) or selected. Have a look in your Magix program's  'Program Data' (a maybe hidden folder) under 'DVD'/'Layout'/... Further, in some layouts the buttons are frames (again several .bmp files) containing preview frames from the clip or an alternate image.

Note for other readers, in WinXP it's 'Application Data' not 'ProgramData' and location may vary with intallation settings.

Carl
