Do mean spectral analysis is activated no matter what you do, so there might be some kind of bug? Or do you mean that you can't find the relevant entry in the help files?

What exactly do you mean by "onscreen information" Please be specific about what you are seeing @denny7794

@Former user, Spectrum Analysis (View menu) is an un-docked window and not displayed by default.. at least in SF-Pro..
Perhaps the OP means the narrow 'overview' waveform displayed at the top of the timeline. If this is the case. that can be removed in "Options> Data Window".. uncheck "Overview".

OK, thanks for the clarification.. I only really know what spectrum analysis means in relation to RX and Spectralayers.

@denny7794, On SF Pro, The 'wave coloring' options can be disabled in the "Options> Data Window" menu and there are toolbar icons as well. AS (Audio Studio) may be different

@Former user Spectrum analysis' initially appears as below in SF Pro, It just an informational display, unlike Spectralayers.

Hi

Did you look up Spectral Display in Help within the program?

You may also have a link to download a PDF version of the manual, either in the program or the email you received when purchasing.

I don't have "Options> Data Window"

(it's ridiculous: I have to use free alternative audio editors to make that simple operation quick, because the Sound Forge interface is bloody mess 😕)

@denny7794

In SFAS 12.6, top menu, View, Spectral Display, turn it off. I don't even use SFAS and it only took me a few seconds to find this, so it's not a "bloody mess."
