Hi,

Don't forget to download the addons (under Help, Free download) and then to update to the latest patch, 14.0.0.166.

Unsharpen? Do you mean Blur? It unsharpens and is on the same Effects screen as Sharpen..

If you want selective blur or unshapening, like skin-smoothing, see my Tutorials on Pixelan SmartBlur Pro under the Tutorials tab.

Thanks broawi2,

I will do that...:)

I mean before....on the effects part that had sharpen/blur ect...the sliders were at 0...you could slide them up to sharpen and slide it down...to say -20...to unsharpen.

Blur ...it just blurs...so you lose detail...:(

It is skin smoothing I am after I will be an avid fan of yours now..:

Dont suppose you know how to make the programme..let you edit the video templates...ie take away thier music...add bits and take bits away do you..?..<3

Hi,

Which version do you have - basic or Plus or Premium? Plus or Premium will be indicated in the upper left of your screen along with Movie Edit Pro 2015 ...... If it doesn't say Plus or Premium, you have basic.

Skin smoothing is done by blurring. The blur command is very subtle. Artistic blur is dramatic. You need to use a mask to limit the extent of blurring to just the skin area.

To do skin smoothing properly, you need another tool like the one from New Blue, or much better still, SmartBlur Pro from Pixelan. See my tutorials on SmartBlur Pro under the Tutorials tab.

Video template - in MEP 2015, it seems that Magix locked up the editing feature. I can't find a way to get back to Timeline mode. In MEP 2014, you could go to Timeline and modify everything. Just ungroup and do what you want.

The workaround is to find the elements that are used for the templates and use them. For Thriller, look in the following folder for the elements:

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro 2015 Premium\DVD\Layout\2011_spystory

The others are all there somewhere. C:\ProgramData may be hidden in Windows Explorer and you will have to modify the view part to see hidden folders and files.

If you play around with these, I suggest that you copy them elsewhere and use them from there.

Because of the way templates now works, I won't use them anymore.

Have fun!
