I am not ale to write a Blu Ray disc

jwkearse wrote on 7/11/2015, 7:06 AM

This question referes to Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus.

I am trying to write a 3D Blu Ray with video that I got from my Fuji 3D camera. I am quite discouraged. This is what I bought the software for, and I can't figure out why it's not working.

Hi

Did you read this question and the answers on the same topic?

It will also help if you clear out any  files in the folder C:\Users\JKearse\Documents\MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus\Disc Images\

John,

Thanks for the advice. I tried what you suggested, but that did not help. I actually didn't get as far as the user in the other question. It stopped in step one. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks, JK

Hi

Which template did you use and did you make any changes to it?

If you made no changes to the menu template try using a different one.

I just used the generic menu template. Could that be the problem. Do I need to use a menu at all?

johnebaker wrote on 7/12/2015, 1:31 PM

Hi

. . . . I just used the generic menu template. Could that be the problem. . . . .

Assuming you mean the template shown below and you did not change anything in it, then this is unlikely to be causing the problem.

I still suspect the problem is on the timeline.

Try exporting the video as a mxv file File, Export movies, Video as Magix video, selecting the HD HQ preset and export- this will create a MXV file.

Start a new project and load the above export file on to the timeline and try burning to BD again - to save discs select Image recorder in the Burner option of the export dialog.

If the export to MXV file fails then you need to locate the object on the timeline that is causing the problem by carrying out the test as described in the last 2 paragraphs of the FAQ here

Thanks so much. I am running it now.

However, one thing I could not see is how to select the HD HQ preset. Am I missing something?

jwkearse wrote on 7/12/2015, 5:17 PM

I created the MXV file. Then I imported it into a new project. Then I tried to burn it.

It still would not burn.

By the way, I am able to creat a DVD of the same project.

johnebaker wrote on 7/13/2015, 3:11 AM

Hi

. . . . It still would not burn. . . . .

Was this using the Image recorder or with a BD disc in the burner?

What burn options are you selecting?

Are you including any 3D images from the camera on the timeline

Can upload about  10 - 15 secs of original 3D video from the camera to somewhere like Dropbox and post a link to it here so we can test it?

I tried both the Image Recorder and BD.

Burning Speed: 1x

Standard NTSC (1920x1080,29.97Fps)

Bit rate: 28192 (although I have tried slower bit rates, as well)

Side by side (left picture on left)

Would it help to know advanced settings? I haven't changed these.

I am not including images, just video.

Here is an 11 second/67MB file of one of the videos I'm trying to burn.

Thanks again, Joseph

I have some progress. I can write an iso, burn the disc, and the menus work, but the video does not work. Any ideas?
