I bought an LG slim blu ray writer I was successful with the first burn, but since then I always get a message that the drive is not fully supported. I dont know why it did it once and now will not. Any alternatives?

Hi

Without more information I am guessing that the LG BD drive is an external USB device - and possibly you are using a laptop?

If the LG drive is USB, then the most likely cause of the problem is the Windows USB power management turning off the drive to save power and MEP is not recognising it because it does not power up fast enough to respond to the device ready request from MEP - hence the error message '. . . . Cannot write to disc -> Power on, reset, or bus device reset occurred . . . '

You can change the power settings in Windows so as not to turn off USB devices - I do this with my PC, with a laptop this will slightly reduce the battery time available.
