Hi,

Why you do not place the DVD directly in your DVD drive or BR drive?

Read your manual coming with the camera you cna close the the DVD and use as it in your drive. this avoid to use a USB cable to link to the computer.

Hi

You may not have to close the DVD in the camera.  Most computer DVD or BD drives can read open (ie multisession) discs.
