Hi hiflyinretriever, usual question of not sure which version you have applies. But, if you load the project once more onto the timeline, do both the video and audio tracks load, and can you hear it? If you can see an audio track, but here nothing during playback in the program, make sure that you did not inadvertently click on the M mute button. That would mute on the disc as well, hence no sound.

Cheers, M o' L.

Man o' lakes,

Thank you for the answer. When I select "burn" I get an error that says I have stuff incorrectly placed within the project that may cause the project not to correctly transfer. I am new to this, obviously. Is there a correct way to add audio to the timeline in which I am missing something? I have all of my audio on the chapter 2 line. Do I need to stagger them? I can hear the playback on my computer just fine, but as soon as I burn to dvd, the music is not there. I have checked your recommendations on the mut button and have made sure that it is not activated. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks a ton,

Hi,

I have faced a similar error message but in Music Maker older version and sharing what I did to solve that may be it will help you.

I just resaved the project by giving new name and when I opened it worked fine. Some times little error create problem.

If there are more than one audio track you better play one by one and listen, If you can listen without problem then surely it is something when you export needed to be corrected such as:

In your case first of all if you are trying to use MP3 then read what Magix says about Movie edit pro

MP3 export requires installation of Windows Media Player 10 or higher.
MPEG-2/4 and DolbyRDigital Stereo must first be activated online for free.

Finally do not burn your project just save as a video then play if that works or not.

As Man O Lakes said, you should also mention Movie edit Pro version.

Thank you

Hi Hiflyinretriever, what about telling us the version you're working with? Otherwise a lot of guessing here. I may not have yours, and then specifics don't transfer, but confuse, which I'm sure you don't want.

There is no reason why your audio files can't all be on the same track, 2 for arguments sake. If if plays perfectly on the timeline, why not give this a shot. Instead of burning, choose to export the movie as MPEG2, which you find under File.

Save to somewhere obvious so you can find it later. Check it in Windows Media Player to see if all is well.

Once exported, click on File and create a new project, and when asked to, close the original one. Now locate the exported MPEG2 file you created and import that into the new project. Make sure it plays ok, then try to burn. Do UNtick the option of smart rendering. Cheers, M o' L.
