I have just started using MM17 and can`t get my guitar to play in the program

I am using MM17 for the first time and Iam new to audio type software. I want to connect my guitar via usb to the program and jam to tracks. My sound card is Realtek and my OP system is Windows 7. I have tried most suggestions ie using MM Asio driver and in record I can see the volume indicators moving to the strings but there is no sound. There is no indication that there is a signal when using Vandal SE which Any help would be great ...........Cheers Brian

Another user asked about Vandal SE...why not try answering his question and I'll try to answer yours.....You staate that you can see the volumn bars moving when you strum your strings but you hear nothing....if this is a true and correct statement, then your set up options are incorrect, or wrong cord in wrong jack ...something of that nature.
