E:\MusicMaker2013\mm 19_en-US_setup.exe  %1 is not a valid Win32 application (193) blocks installation. I there a phone number I can call for advise? I've only had this thing a week, and I feel that someone at the company should answer this questions. Thanks again.

Downloading ?  or have you a hardcopy disc ?  In either case I feel you are not responding to the prompts corrctly or if at all.  I would have to say that 98% of the time I have been able to fire up MM programs over the past 7 years from the get go.  The problems I have had delt with the content packages and then i jsut did a do over and the issue would be resolved.  Do you have enough space on your hardrive ?  Do you ever Defrag and clean up old files...things to think about

Somehow, I suspect you are right. I AM doing something wrong. HOWEVER, it is hard to imagine what exactly where I am going wrong

I do three things:

1) insert the disc

2) click on the first item

3) read the error message.

SOOO...this WAS from a storebought disc (BestBuys) and there was no chance to read prompts at all given the fact that the error message appeared after simply clicking the MusicMaker2013 link. So my question remains-- what am I doing wrong?  Thank you.

Yes, you should call tech support from the main MAGIX website.  There's a link at the bottom of this page.  Tech support is free for a limited time (30 days?), so don't drag your feet!  We are not tech support - we are MAGIX user's and help when we can.

Did you have the TRIAL of MMM-2013 installed before you bought and tried to install the full version?  Some people have problems installing if they haven't completely uninstalled and cleaned the trial version from their computer first.

If i remember correctly....this is a recent problem with the software pruchased from BestBuy.  They had some sort of promotional offer going on but for some reason their versions of MM had problems.  It was within the past month that this issue came up in the User Forum and when I visited BestBuy on line to look into the offer, the site stated offer has been discontinued due to technical issue.  If you hadn't mentioned BestBuy, i was going to ask why you are using E/: drive ?  I would think Tech 'support at Magix is/was aware of BestBuy issue and strongly suggest you follow Mr.Procyon's advice.  I am sure it will all work out, just sorry yu are being greatly exercised when all you di d was buy a program to make musiic
