i keep encountering a technical issue when editing

i use Movie Studio Platinum 17.0 , and since i started editing i keep facing the same issue always , the movie while editing get stuck and the software closes after a while , i am using acer notebook with specifications ( aspire 3 intel i7 , 12 GB DDR 4 MEMORY , 128 GB PCI NVMeSSD +1000 GB HDD
