I purchased an upgrade two days ago for the Video Pro X

Does anyone know why my upgrade still says upgrade an wants me to buy it when it works for 18.0.1.89 but won't work for 18.0.1.95 it wants me to buy it. when I install it into my computer it has the features on the outdated version, an when i look on my account it shows i don't had it installed on any device an I can download it on 2 devices. i should get all updates for the next year but won't update without me buying upgrade again. Does anyone know what is going on? thanks for any inputy in advanced

Hi Mike, and welcome to the user to user forums.

I'm not sure what you mean. You get updates to the core program only for one year, not the offered third party effects that change from month to month on the bundled deals side of things.

When the time comes to decide whether you want to keep the updating of the program comes around and decide to renew the program updating arrangement, you will get the offered third party poduct(s) on offer at that time and keep those third party products you already have from past updates as long as they are not time limited ones.

Do you mean you renewed your Update Service for another year?

18.0.1.89 to 18.0.1.95 is an Update (patch) not an Upgrade and are free. If your Update Service has expired you would not be offered the update.

Do you mean the update from 18.0.1.89 to 18.0.1.95 will not install?

Yes I just bought the upgrade for another year, an I downloaded it, but when I turn on Magix pro x it'll say want to update it an it shows the upgrade price which i just bought a couple of days ago and won't update from 18.0.1.89, I really am thankful for your time an help a lot more than these few words show. cheers

Please note Magix is the company name and the program you have is Video Pro X12 (VPX)

What is the version number of VPX as found under Help, About ?

I suspect that what you are seeing is actually a News/advert popup - a screenshot of the dialog may help.

To remove this, assuming you do not use One Drive or Google Cloud, uninstall Magix Cloud, also known as Magix Connect, Update Notifier and Magix Network Sync, and in the Program settings check the Hide news option on the System tab

I see your point, but then it should still update to the newest version, and when I try it brings me to the page that shows me to buy it. What's really strange is I have 2 copies of pro x as well now, and both won't update to the newest version the added software works, but it won't update and without the newest update, I can't activate the added software. I'm confused cuz if I only updated my video pro x why I got another copy cuz I have two different pro x copies now but neither will update. I'm working with Magix support as well, but really strange if you ask me.

If these have different serial numbers, that would suggest you bought a new copy instead of renewing the Update Service.

Check that your Antivirus is not blocking the program from downloading or installing the patch - try disabling the Folder protection/Ransomware/Real time protection feature(s).

YES, I renewed it for another year, but it won't renew just says to renew it and shows a price, and it can't be installed cuz it would update to the latest update. I don't understand why it isn't updating is all

I didn't buy another copy cuz it is a lot more than 190 dollars Canadian, but somehow it gave me another copy, but neither copy will update to the lastest update without saying buy the update

the end result was they were giving me a key code but it was the old one I had to erase it and put the new one in thats what the problem was. thank you all for showing interest in helping me and god bless you all
