I try to play audio and I get an error message

Music Maker (64 Bit) v29.0.4.25 Windows 10 ASUS ROG Strix notebook 32GB RAM.
Is this the Premium version? I purchased and downloaded the Premium version but do not see it as such in the software and every time I close the program, I'm asked to buy the Premium version.
also
I try to play audio and I get an error message: "The Sample Rate of 41,000 Hz could not be set.
Your sound card is possibly synchronized to an external source."
How do I correct this?

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Having downloaded and installed the app did you then register and activate it, using the serial number which would have been in the purchase confirmation email you received? If not, then no, you are not running the Premium version.

You also need to make sure you have downloaded and installed all the additional content that goes with the Premium purchase.

Hi

. . . . Your sound card is possibly synchronized to an external source . . . .

Check that no other program is using the sound card, if that fails then try restarting Windows - Windows button, Power Icon, Restart you may have an update pending a restart.

Gents: I installed Music Maker when I installed Sound Forge 14. Sound Forge asked for a serial #, Music Maker didn't. I then purchased Music Maker Premium. I installed it. It removed the Music Maker I had installed with Sound Forge 14. I redownloaded and reinstalled Music Maker Premium again. I have regular Music Maker and was NEVER asked for a serial number (which I have).
As far as I can tell no other program is using the sound card. I get normal sound and audio while watching internet videos and digital files on my computer. I have tried rebooting. No Windows updates.

Also, I uninstalled Music Maker with Revo Uninstaller. This is my third uninstall. I rebooted and reinstalled using the file: musicmakerpremium2021_dlm_dizw8a.exe. It installed. I started it and it did NOT again ask for a serial number. There was NO mention of Premium either. Do I have the correct file? Does Magix have the correct file for download?

Hi,

Music Maker is free. The latest version 2021 and that is what you have. You bought Premium which is the free version and you have to put in your activation code to unlock the Premium content. You have to be logged in to do this. Then, you download and install everything under the Downloads button at the upper right of the Media Pool.

Do not uninstall/reinstall unless the program will not start at all.

What is your soundcard?

What are your settings under Program Settings, Audio/Midi tab? Post a screen shot.

I managed to load the Premium content. Maybe more explicit instructions are needed when one purchases the Premium content. AS far as the sound card: Real Tech Hi Definition Audio. I'm not sure where the "Program Setting" tab is but buy using the latency controls I managed to get the music to play and no longer get that error. Thank you all for your help!

Hi

. . . . Maybe more explicit instructions are needed when one purchases the Premium content. . . . .

After activation is complete the next dialog that appears is one telling you that you can now download and install the Extra content that has been unlocked - did you not see this dialog?

. . . . I'm not sure where the "Program Setting" tab . . . .

It is under File, Settings - I would suggest you read the PDF manual available under Help, you may have to download it.

. . . . Real Tech Hi Definition Audio . . .

I think you mean - Realtek High Definition Audio - these are the settings that work for me.
