I suspect I should ask if El Capitan Version 10.11.6 will work with the Mac version!!

@Daniel-Knudsen The Mac version of Sound Forge should work with El Capitan. But it isn't compatible with Catalina or Big Sur. It is also some years old by now and development of the Mac version was stopped.

Have you tried running SF 15 with Wine?
