You are doing nothing wrong it is the software you are using to to rotate the image that is the problem - I suspect you are using the Image rotate function in Windows Explorer.
Some cameras record the orientation that the original photo was taken at and put this into the data header of the image - other things included here are date taken, camera settings used and possibly the camera make / model.- these make up what is called the 'metadata'.
Some image software ignores this data, Windows Explorer does when you rotate the image, ie it does not correct the orientation metadata.
MEP uses the orientation information and places the image on the timeline in the orientation it reads from the image metadata.
I would not bother re-orienting images before importing into MEP - you can use the Effects, Movement/position, Rotation effect to correct the orientation.
Hello, I have a similar problem. All of my previews look fine in Magix Photo Manager Deluxe. Even after I add them to a slideshow they preview fine. However, when I actually save the slideshow they revert to their original orientation. How can I correct this? Thank you.
You have posted to a thread which is nearly four years old, with a question that has nothing to do with the software in the original question, which was Movie Edit Pro. Please do not do this.
You have already posted your question to the Photo Manager forum area, here. Please continue any discussion there.
