Imported mp4s are upside down

I have Movie Edit Pro Premium. Some mp4s will only import into my project tracks (storyboard) upside down. In my computer, it's correct. But if I drag and drop that into my project, it appears upside down. If I try to import the mp4 from them Edit Pro browser, it appears upside down in the browser, as well. But it's fine in my computer. BTW, they upload correctly into Microsoft Movie Maker, just not with Magix. Again, it's only some of the mp4s, not all. And there is no consistency in the way the files were shot - 2 different Samsung phones and a .MOV file. But other files shot on the Samsung s10 are correct. It's just some of them. Is there a way to rotate the mp4? Is something wrong? Am I missing something? I have the latest version of the program. I just bought it about a month ago. Thank you for your help.

@JBA

Hi

. . . . Some mp4s will only import into my project tracks (storyboard) upside down . . . .

The orientation of the mobiles is important when taking pictures or video, the 'upside down' videos were actually taken with the mobile device 'upside down', the 'orientation flag' attached to the videos is being ignored by Movie Edit Pro, the mobile devices will use the 'orientation flag'.

. . . . storyboard . . .

I would suggest you switch to Timeline mode - you can control your editing much better there and do more than in Storyboard.

Select the video and use the Effects tabs, View & Animation, Rotation effect to rotate the video 180 degrees.

Thank you!! That worked. I'll be sure to pay attention to my camera orientation. I appreciate the help!
