Importing pics (.jpeg)

Hi

I am an estate agent (realtor) and use Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 HD on an Acer 7730 laptop running Win 7.

I import .jpegs in order to create a slide show and export in .mpeg4. The problem is when I import a pic that was shot by the camera in portrait (camera on its side) they load as landscape and appear sideways e.g, a picture of fridge will display lying on its side. I have already rotated the pics and saved them as such and they appear in MS Office Picture Manager in the correct orientation.

How can I fix this?
