In MEP 2015 I have blank spaces. How do I draw video together?

I am using MEP2015 and for some reason a blank space has appeared in the video. I can group the scenes together that follow the gap and move them to delete blank space but there must be an easier way. I just group together those scenes that I can see in the timeline which means I have to keep repeating this step as I move through the video. I don't want to slide through to the end of the video, grouping everything, for fear of making a mistake. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi,

Read through this thread that we are still discussing.

It was possible in MEP2014 as indicated in the thread, but 2015 does not at all react the same. The only way that I have found is to go through the video looking for gaps and closing them up. Be careful if you have objects on various tracks to use Mouse for all tracks or all following objects on the same track to make sure that they move as well.

Lastly, when you go to export, it will tell you if there are gaps, how many and you can jump to the first gap directly.

You can jump through the timeline using Alt+W to go from object edge to object edge. Alt+Q goes the other way. If there is a small gap, you will notice that the jump is very small and you can zoom in on the timeline to see it. If there is no gap, then clicking Alt+W will jump to the next object end. Try to see.

Hopefully, Magix will give us a way to do this in a future version.

Magix VPX6 has a shortcut to jump to the next gap.

Thanks John for some very helpful hints. I'd forgotten about the mouse moves so that was handy. In the end, as you said that Magix has no easy way of doing this, I went through the video carefully fixing up the gaps and then checked again when exporting so I was able to fix this annoying problem. So thanks again. Prue
