Installation of extra content.

Because of problems with installation of 18.0.1.85 I had to uninstall and reinstall Video Pro X after which I cannot install "Extra Content" except for "Main Concept", any assistance would be appreciated. On the requester which comes on to download it always shows a date it was installed as the that day and the word to download is greyed out and is inactive.

Hi Dave.

I don't understand. None of the boxes in the list have been ticked. The download will stay greyed out until selections have been made. Why has anything in the second box been written? Use the right hand pull down bar to see the rest of the options and tick all those you want. Ignore the downloaded dates.

Ray.

@CubeAce Ray, I do not think you understand the problem.

@DaveSmith cannot tick off the boxes - as they are disabled (greyed out), hence he cannot install the extra content. Happend to me on the PhotoStory Deluxe, but I thought it may be because the packages were installed by other Magix products, like MEP2021

Hi

Ray - . . . . None of the boxes in the list have been ticked. The download will stay greyed out until selections have been made. . . .

The boxes cannot be checked as the program sees they are installed, it is greyed out because of this, yet they are not available in the program.

We had this issue with another member not so long ago and the I suffered from the same problem on my laptop.

@DaveSmith

The fix that worked for me was a reset of the program - File, Settings, Reset program to . . . . and a re-install of the extras

Confirmed. Once done, you cannot go back and check the boxes again. There must be a file somewhere that remembers this.

When you downloaded and installed the extra content, did you check the box to keep the files? If so, they should be under your documents, Magix Downloads. Look there for the Installation Manager folder. If the files are there, then simply execute them one by one.

I always keep these files and move them to another drive to keep the Downloads folder free for the next time.
