@SomeMan

Hi,

You are given the possibility to change the location during installation, but it is always best to put programs in their default locations. One reason is for backups, especially system drive backups. I'll leave it to the gurus to reply.

However, you may want to put the content on a different drive. Again, do this during installation, otherwise you'll get several GB of content under: C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Movie Edit Pro Premium.

Be consistent as future updates/upgrades should use the same locations.

For Movie Edit Pro 2022 Premium, the program itself should really be on the C: drive. It only takes up 1.27 gigabytes. Once reason for this is that it makes recovery from an image easier.

For most content creation software (be it video or audio, etc) , it’s the content that takes up the majority of the hard drive space.

For instance, I have a Digital Audio Workstation where the program itself only takes up 240 meg. However, the content takes up just over a terabyte. I have this content on separate physical drives.

That been said, if you are worried about how much a program itself takes up on your C: drive, then it’s probably time to update your system drive.
