Is it okay to you plug a keyboard into a mic jack?

Is it okay if you plug your Yamaha DJX series keyboard into your standard microphone jack on your pc using your rca outputs via a rca to mini-headphone jack( if forgot the measures and vary from country to country) like you would use to run a i-pod to a stereo.And am keeping volume very low. worked on my old pc but now I have a HP Pavillion 1TB hd, AMD Athalon II ,running Magix Music Maker 15.I'm starting to recieve error messages and have had this program for 2-3 days. Mainly hoping to find out if this is hurting my soundcard? Should i jus wait till i have an audio interface???

It's a bad idea. Don't you have a Line In (blue) jack on your computer?

I am running my Yamaha keyboard through a Yamaha MG82cx mixer before going into the line input on the computer. The signal is not as "hot" as through a mike input so you will not damage your sound card.
