Is Movie Studio 2022 Suite the new Movie Edit Pro Premium 2022 ???????

Which Movie Studio replaces my M.E.Pro Premium 2022?

Is it MS 2022 Platinum or is it MS 2022 Suite?

Where do I download it?

I upgraded to Pro Premium 2022 in Dec. 2021, and now have Window 11 that errors when I download and install MEPP2022 from my account products page.

My version is 21.02.138 (UDP3) --- UG code 8463 KA1

@nickaz

Hi,

MEP2022 Premium and Movie Studio Platinum Suite 2022 are the same program, different name.

Movie Studio replaces MEP (for the future). Movie Studio 2023 is about to be released.

@nickaz

Movie Studio 2022 is the new name for Movie Edit Pro 2022; there is no difference "under the hood" between the two programs.

If you have downloaded the installer for MEP Premium from your Magix account and it fails to install - do you see any error message, if so what is it? Please post the full wording - attempting to install either edition of Movie Studio 2022 is not going to effect any change, I think!

The version of MEPP which you quote is the latest.

Thanks John, 2 questions,

Are there now updates to MEPP 2022 for my switch to Windows 11?

Will I have to purchase or upgrade (for a price) when Movie Studio P. Suite 2022 comes out?

This is the error I get when I go to install.

“X” An error occurred during transfer which caused the installation to stop. This problem can most likely be fixed by restarting the transfer of the installer application. If you experience further problems, contact…………

@nickaz

That error message indicates a problem with the actual download, not the installation of the program. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to see this error!

The first thing to check is whether your firewall and antivirus are allowing a full two-way communication between your computer and the Magix servers. You may need to specifically allow such communication.

As to your other question: no, there are no updates to MEPP2022, for Windows 11, or, indeed, anything else I suspect. As John says, MS 2023 (aka MEPP 2023) is due for release soon.

I don't think we've had one success where security was at fault.

Have a look at the last post of this topic:

I wish Magix would fix their bugged installation flow.

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.
