I tried my best, Everything work as your tutorial but fails at the export screen (9:16) that option not working!!. Few tutorials says its possible, some say an extra tool required for this. can you help if that possible? video attached.
Yes I would use an extra tool. There are free to use video rotating programs to be found on the net. But some sites like YouTube will only ever display in landscape so will put bars back either side of a portrait uploaded video.
in my case, I have to convert Landscape videos for mobile screens. so I will enlarge the video to fit the frame.
Unfortunately, my new company doesn't have Adobe Premier :(. I will have to force them to buy any other video editor. Magix honestly misses many basic features!!!.
Your screen shows the Project Settings, not the export settings; you have 9:16 but you didn't change the width to 1080 - you have 1980. You have probably done the same thing upon export.
That said, it is against my principles to film with a cell phone in portrait mode; to me, it's like fingernails on a chalkboard. You say that you have "to convert Landscape videos for mobile screen." No, you don't. The user can turn the mobile sideways to watch a video normally.
Use the project settings as shown in that tutorial and when you import your video do not change project settings to match the imported video if asked then rework the sizes of the imported video as you require..
Thank you very much. the problem solved by Both of the above comments. changed the width to 1080 and imported the video without changing the project settings.

Thanks for your Suggestion. TikTok, Facebook stories still prefer portrait video. some times I convert Landscape video to portrait. Normally I cut video to many scenes as the camera direction/focus changes, then enlarge each landscape scenes to portrait as per the object to project. this is a personal preference.
Please forgive us older generation users. We tend not to use our phones as much for social video media playback or sharing whereas most under 35s would. 😂
