Is the site broken?

terrypin wrote on 11/30/2017, 5:42 PM

I currently see no posts after 22 Nov and ALL posts show ‘No answers’. Hopefully just a briefi glitch?

Hi Terry

No glitches here last night, apart from links to external web sites not working all posts were visible.

Hi John,

Hopefully you've seen my latest email and screenshots.

Still unable to see the forum threads later than 22 Nov. For example I cannot see this thread! I was eventually only able to post here after launching from your earlier email. If I now click 'MOVIE EDIT PRO' above, I get the display shown in my screenshot. I was logged in. But I've done so again. No change. Same if I use 'View in IE'. Removed all magix.info cookies in Firefox. No change.

This gets crazier. I was initially delighted to find I could at last see all recent threads, including this one, after unsuccessful attempts over several hours. So I was naturally about to add a comment to that effect. But I was being asked 'Please sign in to submit..' I did so - and the display then reverted to the incomplete one!

I only got back here because that tab was still accessible in my browser. I'm not at all clear whether I'm now logged in or not. I would assume that I am, because I see the COMMENT button accessible bottom right.

We'll see...

--------------------

OK, that got sent and I'm able to read it. I'll send this now, before risking trying to see the forum. Then, if I can, I'll post again here.

--------------------

The issue remains unresolved. 😟

Same in any browser on my PC or iPad.

I am logged in, as you see from this screenshot:

But as soon as I leave this post, by any means, to view the current forum, I get that same old display. (Top post is 'Problem with downloading AVCHD audio codec'.)

It's as if the only way I might proceed, with a chance of viewing the forum, is to log out! Sure enough, I did so and was then viewing normally - except that I was unable to edit or coment or post! I'll now 'SAVE CHANGES' but then expect that as soon as I try to view the forum I'll be back to square one.

... which is indeed the case! I'm sort of trapped in this single post while logged in, which at least allows me to communicate, but cannot view the rest of the recent threads.

One thing I'll try now, while logged in, is to try to create 'New post', and see if that helps.

That duly appeared briefly and I picked up my commentary there and posted two screenshots. But that too has now become inaccessible to me unless I'm logged out!
