Is there a changelog for video pro x12 18.0.1.94?
I'm a big fan of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", so I don't want to install an update unless absolutely necessary. But I've tried everything I can think of and can't find a changelog of what's been fixed or updated - both on this site and the internet.
I'm assuming it has to be somewhere, no?

Not that I can find, nor for the latest patch for Movie Edit Pro either. All I got was an 'Enjoy' message after the download to my copy of MEP. Whatever it is I'm assuming it must be fixes internally but what I can't determine.
My guess would be fixes for those using AMD based systems as Vegas had such an update not too long ago. Either way I have no evidence of a degradation of performance and can see no visible differences within MEP. Unfortunately I'm a version behind with VPX currently running VPX 11 so can't say if the same applies.

To you John, when you clicked on the blue-coloured 18.0.1.94, where is that blue-coloured thing?... Is what I was going to write - until I just loaded VPX and saw it on the update prompt screen. Nice :-)
Woulda been nice if they'd made it more obvious with a button or something - this being my first Magix update. I'll know for next time.

WARNING!
I don't know if this affects VPX, but there is an identical patch for MEP that causes havoc in that users on the French forum have complained about not being able to load the video clips of on-going projects, in particular VOB files. Magix has responded that they have found the bug and removed the patch, noting that this affects certain computers and not others. A new patch should be available soon.
Let's hope that we are not among the infected. I purposed did not update on my desktop yesterday as I was trying to finish off a tutorial and was worried about the unknown. I updated late last night and will try out the patch on both computers after my coffee. I only updated VPX ad not MEP.
I don't think that this patch will help with variable frame rate problems, only those who have been complaining about iPhone 12 files not working.

No the update was to MEP as I said above, there is no update available for VPX 12 at this time.

That explains why some of us are not seeing the issue ie we are up to date with the Visual C++ 2015 - 2019 Redistibutable, presumably only those who do not have this installed are seeing the issue.

I do not think so, Visual C++ Redistributable is usually installed with the program that requires it or if Visual Studio is installed.
This is one of the reasons it does not get updated like .NET. The version installed by a program is the one it needs and should not be uninstalled - I have these versions in both 64 and 32 bit installed.

If you expand the name column you should see there are 32 and 64 bit versions listed.

I tried to expand the column for the screen grab but couldn't. All I seem to be able to do is hover the mouse cursor over each one and I get either an x64 or an x86 extension.

bit annoyed I can't seem to be able to get .94 still on .89 which has a bug with creating 3d blurays which supposedly has been fixed and will roll out with the .94 update.
